Our Swimming Programs

Our programs are based on the principle that learning to swim proficiently is for physical and mental well-being. 

The BIG SPLASH swimming lessons provide a simple and natural way to become water-safe and to adopt the correct and comfortable swimming style in a fun, non-intimidating way. 


With our indoor heated pools we help children adapt to these philosophies without the fears and distractions that come with classes in large and overcrowded pools. All students and parents work with their instructors on a personal level. 


Courses range from infant through to competitive level so there’s consistency in both our teaching methodology.

    BIG SPLASH for Babies

        Water-based exercise for babies has been shown to offer multiple benefits, including strengthened cardiorespiratory function, improved appetite, and more stable sleeping patterns.

         

        Most babies take to the water with ease. Learning confidence in the water helps to prepare them to be great swimmers later in life.


        Our BIG SPLASH lessons for babies provide a great opportunity for you and your child to share this enjoyable and rewarding experience.

        We take a maximum of four baby-parent couples per session starting from 6 months old. Each class lasts 30 minutes and takes place in our warm indoor heated all- season pool.

         

        Through a series of planned activities, we’ll help you and your little one feel comfortable together in the water. This provides a foundation for further swimming instruction as your child grows older.

    BIG SPLASH Learn to Swim

        BIG SPLASH for children is a unique learn-to-swim program designed for kids from the age of three and with a maximum of four swimmers per class, depending on ability. It's a fun, educational and interactive model that assists children to progress rapidly through a motivational training approach. Setting incremental and realistic goals for each lesson offers rewards that, in turn, motivate the kidsm to progress to a higher level.


        The different levels of progression have been carefully formulated to improve coordination, confidence, rhythm, strength, stamina and swimming style.


        Every stroke is broken down into its respective movements and is practised until the student is able to combine all the different elements to perform the stroke correctly. This approach produces confident, natural and graceful swimmers. Other benefits to this training include improved fitness levels, posture, breathing and muscle tone. 


        Instructors constantly provide feedback on the progress of your child and what they’ve been working on during their lessons.  With our unique interactive progression sticker booklet, parents and children can celebrate and be involved in their underwater learning experience.

    BIG SPLASH Squad Swimming

        Swimmers can join a squad from as young as six years old, providing they have moved on from the 'Learn to Swim' programme or know all four strokes confidently. Squads comprise a maximum of eight students per 45-minute class. 


        A large portion of the session is based on stroke correction as this is of utmost importance but we also move on to speed and endurance training.

Our BIG SPLASH for Babies and Learn to Swim offers eight levels, each one named after an aquatic animal. With our unique program, you will develop a strong and confident relationship with water while having some serious fun!

Level 1 - Tadpole

  • Perfect for young children to discover shallow water
  • Learn movement and play in the water without arm bands

Level 2 - Jellyfish

  • Perfect propulsion through gliding and kicking
  • Float unaided on your front and back
  • Jump and swim to the side by yourself

Holiday Clinics

Our week-long school holiday clinics are the ideal way to accelerate progress towards your swimming goals. They’re held every day, Monday to Friday, and each lasts 30 or 45 minutes. Training takes place on a one-on-one basis or in group sessions.
